St. Stephen's, Your Local Parish Church

Welcome.  Amidst all the uncertainly of life, the good news of the Christian faith is that God loves you for being the unique, special, individual that you are. None of us have to worry about being perfect in mind, body or spirit before we can respond to God’s invitation to ‘come and see.’

St Stephen’s would absolutely love to welcome you, your friends and your family to our church. Services are at 10am on Wednesday (BCP Holy Communion ) and on Sundays at 10am (Holy Communion) with an informal non-communion family service on the first Sunday of each month at 10am. Our hope and prayer is that we help your spirit soar, your heart to sing and your soul to find rest by God’s love and grace through his Son Jesus Christ. Earlier in the year we posted regular online reflections on our YouTube page >

Today from #DailyPrayer one of my favourite New Testament passages ‘He is’.

Colossians 1.15-23

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.
