Ed Savage, Samuel Smithies, Nora Hunter, Colin Beckett, Edna Clarke, John G McHug,
David Shackleton, Maria Sellars and Maureen Webster and we pray for their families and friends.
Our Link Diocese in Sudan
“Outside the conflict, normal church work continues. The Kadugli Diocesan Evangelism Department runs a successful football league to engage youth, reach non-believers and connect with Muslim lads….The diocese also conducted training for 71 pastors and evangelists on the topic ‘Fasting and Prayer’, preparing them for an annual August outreach programme.”
Creationtide 6th September – 4th October
The Church of England uses this time to celebrate creation and pray for our environment and our place in creation. This is a prayer for this time from ‘The Season of Creation Celebration Guide’, 2019. Produced by a collaboration of bodies including the World Council of Churches.
During this Season of Creation, open our eyes to see the precious diversity that is all around us. Enlighten our minds to appreciate the delicate balance maintained by each creature. Inspire us to conserve the precious habitats that nurture this web of life. In the name of the One who came to proclaim good news to all creation, Jesus Christ. Amen.
